Do you have a studio?
No, we do not have a traditional studio. All of our shoots are “on location”. As such, we do not have a use for a full production studio at this time. We do however have access to a greenscreen, as well as portable backdrops, should our clients require one.
Do you shoot in High Definition?
Yes, we made the transition to High Definition in late 2008. We primarily shoot in the professional AVCCam High Definition format. This is a newer format that offers higher resolution and greater picture quality than the HDV format commonly found in many HD cameras, without the costs associated with significantly more expensive formats like HDCam. We also record tapelessly to solid state media, which prevents the possibility of dropouts due to a bad tape or dirty tapeheads, as well as other mechanical failures that can happen with tape or hard drive based cameras. We then transcode the footage to and edit in the Cineform HD format.
Do you require the use of your Pre-Production/Scriptwriting service?
No, it is not a "required" service. Nor do we charge for a simple consultation or meeting to work out logistics should you already have a script and choose not make use of the service. However, we strongly encourage you to make use of it if you aren't already using an advertising/marketing professional or agency to assist you in the marketing of your product or service.
How long of a turnaround is there after you've shot my video?
There really is no way to answer that. There are a lot of variables that goes into the making of your video, including the overall length, the amount of post production your video requires, and previous commitments we may working on at the time we take on your project. For a simple seminar burnt to DVD with little or no editing, it may be as short as two or three days. More complex projects might stretch out to two or three months. Without a script in hand, there really isn't a way to estimate.
How will you deliver the finished product to me?
There a wide array of delivery formats we can provide you with. We can deliver on either a Blu-Ray Disc to preserve the High Definition video quality, or downconvert it to Standard Definition and put it on a traditional DVD. If it is intended for web delivery, we can also deliver it to you in a wide variety of file formats.
Please note that if this is a commercial to be aired on broadcast television, many television stations and cable operators have very specific delivery formats that they require. We would be happy to try and provide you with your finished product in that format if you can provide us with that information.
